Mallaig

Mallaig is a small but busy port situated at the mainland end of The Road to the Isles. The surrounding scenery is spectacular and easily accessible for exploring. We work from new purpose-built premises, which the whole Primary Care team share, and allows room for visiting PAMS, Dentist, Optician and Consultants.

The practice covers Mallaig, part of Loch Morar and also the Knoydart Penninsula which is accessible only by boat and is home to the UKs most remote mainland pub. In general the out of hours call-outs are infrequent but necessary, although the tourist season can be a little trying.

The quality of life is excellent with good local facilities including shops, fitness centre, train station, community centre and ferry terminal. Fort William is just one hour away and provides the majority of city facilities. The practice team are very supportive, and there is a great environment in which to practice quality medicine. Our patients are very appreciative of the service and let us know that they value the service we provide. This gives great job satisfaction and we find the area a very rewarding environment to live and work in.
