TELEPHONE ADVICE
Telephone appointments are available with the GPs to discuss results or ask advice.

HOME VISITS
These are reserved for the housebound and patients too ill to come to the surgery. Requests for visits should be made by 11.00 am so the days visits can be planned.

WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED
Out of surgery hours,  Emergency medical attention between the hours of 6pm to 8am can be obtained by telephoning NHS 24 on 08454 242424

PRESCRIPTIONS
Repeat prescriptions may be requested by telephone or at the surgery with written note of exact prescriptions required. Please give 48 hours notice and please ensure you have a few days supply of your medication left when you make the request. Prescriptions that are required following a consultation are issued there and then.

NECESSARY EXAMINATIONS
Please bring a urine sample with you to these examinations.

NEW PATIENTS
When you register with the Practice, you will be given a health questionnaire and an appointment to see the Doctor/ Practice Nurse.

PATIENTS AGED 16-75
If you have not attended for 3 years, please make an appointment to see the Doctor.

PATIENTS AGED 75+
Please make an appointment to see the Doctor annually, if you do not already do so.  If you are unable to come to the surgery, the Doctor or Nurse will visit you at home by arrangement with you.

PRACTICE STAFF
Along with the Doctors and Practice Nurse, qualified staff are employed as receptionists, secretary and practice manager .
There are also a local health visitor, district nurses, and community midwives who support the practice.

VISITORS

The Practice Provides General Medical Services under the NHS, to any visitor, temporary resident, or traveller, from home or abroad, who needs such a service while in the  Practice area

Consultation times and other arrangements for visitors are as those shown in this leaflet.

DISPENSING UNDER NHS
Prescription Fees per item issued are payable under the NHS. There are clearly defined exemptions from such charges by certain patients please check your own status in this respect and inform the dispensary.
