Welcome to the Glen Mor Surgery formerly known as the High Street Surgery.
The "High Street Practice" has been established for many years and owes it's birth to Dr Isaac MacIver, a Lewisman who came to Fort William in 1924. Dr Murray Kirkwood succeeded him and then Dr Roy Innes came in 1968 and was the father of the modern practice, being joined by Dr Sukumar Sen MBE in 1969.
Dr Chris Robinson joined in 1974 ,Dr Hiresh Roy in 1983 and Dr Liz Merry in 1989. Dr Joe Tangney returned from New Zealand to join us in 1995 when Dr Sen retired. Dr Elvire Feeney became our new partner in April 2002 and Dr Moira Tregaskis a former retainee works with us as a GP locum since 2005. Dr Roy retired in Aug 2006 and Dr Lyndsey McConnell a former registrar in our practice joined us. Dr Robinson retired in April 2008 and Dr Craig Macmillan also a former trainee joined us as a partner.
We are an approved Training practice for over 30 years and enjoy having GP Trainees in the practice.
We moved on May 18th 2007 to our new purpose built premises in Blar Mhor near Lochaber High School. We will share the building with the Tweedale and Craig Nevis Practices. Many other primary care services are based in the new building and this is of great benefit to patients .
We are using a modified "Advanced Access" appointment system in our practice since July 2002. We are constantly evaluating and modifying this system in order to improve our service.
